At Home

This is what's going on at our house today...

Oh, yes, today is a school day. We made it to three whole days of school before anyone got sick! WooHoo!!! (Ellen and Stephen made it to four!) The three biggest kids have sore throats, coughs, and fevers. Anne is already on the upswing though, so the end shouldn't be too far away.

That photo will become more precious as the years go by. It's great to have them all together under one roof as often as possible.

Sounds like our house, except it's been me, Maija & Phillip. Phillip is the latest casualty and he watched CARS 6 times today. It's the only thing that would allow me to take care of Maija since he wouldn't let me do anything except hold him if it wasn't on. (Oh and it didn't help that we couldn't leave my bedroom because we had work being done in the house and there was too much dust.)

Hope everyone gets better soon!

Sounds like my house too! Only I'm the one who has it the worst. Dang back to school germs!

As hard as days like that are, they will be sweet memories one day. My favorite time of life has been when you were all at home, "under one roof," as Jim said.

Oh poor babies! I hope they all get to feeling better soon. Joseph has been fighting off a cold for the last week and I hope it doesn't get any worse.

Although they are sick, I can't help but think of how darling they all look sitting there together like that. Remember when it was us in that position with our sweet mamas taking care of us? Good memories, great family, wonderful moms.We have truly lived blessed lives and it is something a little extra special to see you ensuring the same for your darlings, too.

How frustrating! We've managed to avoid sickness, but injury has run rampant. My neighbor says "misfortune comes in threes." I wonder who's next??? I'm glad you and James had a good time on your trip. I'll have to take Tyler sometime - he would love it except for the fishing. We miss you!!
