Normal Life Continues

This is such a cute picture, I just had to include it.

I really need to get better about having my camera with me more often.

The whole family went ice fishing last Saturday and we all (even me) had a great time! Next time I WILL take pictures. We've had a pretty mild winter, but the ice was 14 inches thick. It is so fun to play on!

Stephen is learning long division. It is not the best of experiences for him. He stayed home from school yesterday because his stomach hurt. I could tell that it really did, he wasn't just saying it. About noon he was fine. This morning his stomach hurt again so I knew something was up. It was math. I called his teacher (who was very glad I called) and she said that Stephen is doing just fine and understands the math as well or better than most of the kids in the class. So Stephen went to school feeling a little better. He just got home a few minutes ago and is happy and smiling! Still has math homework, but he's not so stressed about it. Yay!

Ellen is sick again. Grrrrrrr.

We are having rice and beans for dinner tonight. I actually have meals planned out for the whole next week! I'm so excited!

On January 10th I was released as the Primary Chorister and set apart as the 1st Councilor in the Primary Presidency. I'm way excited! And a bit busier. I just love Primary!

!!!!!Breaking News!!!!!

Annie just came home from school and announced that she won First Place in the 2nd grade for the Map Contest! This is International Week at school so on Monday and Tuesday they had a map contest to see how many countries the kids could correctly identify. Each grade had a different map to identify. 2nd graders did Central America. Anne studied and studied last week and got them all right. Today they had an assembly and announced the winners and presented them with certificates and international prizes. Anne received a neat little doll. Congratulations Anne!!!

Long division was about the last math step I took with any success. After that, people began to throw questions at me which included numbers AND letters! I was certain that the Lord had never intended the two to mix. And for me, they never did. I love the little faces that lifve in your house, Aimee - - including yours!

Tell Stephen that I really struggled with long division too. In fact, I still can't do it. (You don't need to tell him that part though.)
And I am so proud of Anne!! I hope my kids are as smart!
